However, the movies simply don't do the job. Thanks to the way they deploy movies, they simply don't buffer. A five-minute video takes about an hour and a half to see since the movie just buffers a small way and never quick enough for the movie to never catch up with it. Unlike most other streaming videos, you can not leave it for it to buffer till the ending as if stops after about thirty seconds of buffering. It makes the site unusable.

Ordinarily, when encountering problems running movies (in Chrome) I can go over to Internet Explorer who, despite having a pretty naff browser, curiously are good at running videos and their own plugins. But Skillshare only supports Firefox and Chrome - neither of which really work - therefore that solution was not available to me.

I have used Skillshare in 2 blocks, one last year and one recently, at that time there have been no changes and a growing number of people are complaining about the same issue from the comments of the majority of videos. It is a real problem that has not been addressed.

I've contacted customer service on both events and received much the exact same reaction. It is not their fault, it's my web due to various issues (none of that actually have been issues -- cookies, temporary files, etc) and if they confessed that limited internet (below 5mb/s) will encounter problems they did nothing to acknowledge exactly how bad the problem was signed and sent off the emails saying that they were looking to it. But, they stated the same a year ago and nothing's changed.

Other websites handle the demands of streaming videos a hell of a whole lot better and handle problems with more grace and honesty. If you're able to get the movies to What is Skillshare? Deb's Answers work, good, you're in for a treat. If you can't, do not strive, just get out and use somebody else - it is not an issue they're making progress on, even if they are even trying.
